Lil Pump Shows J.Cole Some Love

Los Angeles, CA – Despite their perceived beef, Lil Pump showed some love for J. Cole during a recent stop in Los Angeles.

TMZ caught the “Esskeetit” rapper at the Los Angeles International Airport where he was asked about Cole stopping the “Fuck Lil Pump” chants at Miami’s Rolling Loud festival on Friday (May 11).

“Shout out J.Cole!” he said.

The “Fuck Lil Pump” chants seemed to have originated at JMBYLA 2018 in Texas earlier this month. While Cole was performing the KOD track “1985 (Intro To ‘The Fall Off’),” the audience started yelling “Fuck Lil Pump.” Rather than encourage the crowd to continue, Cole said, “Don’t do that. Don’t say that.”

Some Pump’s recent concerts have been erupting into “Fuck J. Cole” chants but Cole evidently took the high road when the situation was reversed.

While in Miami for his Rolling Loud set, Cole sat down for an interview with Angie Martinez and expanded on his thought behind “1985 (Intro To ‘The Fall Off’),” which Pump took personally. But it seems to be more a general warning to those looking for a quick come-up.

“We’re in age trolling,” he said. “We’re in the generation trolling. These kids have figured something out. They figured out attention is all that matters. The skill? Who gives a fuck? The quality? No, all that matters is attention. ‘This music is just a platform for me to get attention.’

“That’s what them kids understand.”

Pump was captured dancing to “1985 (The Intro To ‘The Fall Off’)” backstage at Rolling Loud, so at least he’s enjoying the music.
