LeBron James Gives Lakers’ Bench Nickname “MUD”

The Los Angeles Lakers head into the 2018-19 season with a totally new look - most notably, #23 LeBron James. In addition to the four-time NBA MVP, the Lakers introduced in a bunch of veterans that features NBA champions Rajon Rondo and JaVale McGee, in addition to Michael Beasley and LeBron's former foe, Lance Stephenson. Or, as LeBron James nicknamed them, "MUD."

As a part of the Lakers' Media Day yesterday, Rondo, McGee, Beasley and Lance posed for a photograph collectively of their new digs and the pic rapidly made its solution to Stephenson's IG account, the place he requested his followers, "Name this unit?" Over 7,000 folks commented on the submit, together with LeBron, who defined their new nickname - Misunderstood, Under-appreciated, & Determined. 

LeBron was clearly the point of interest of yesterday's media session, because it was the primary time he had spoken to Los Angeles media since signing with the Lakers as a free agent in July. The Lakers will open their season with a street sport in opposition to the Portland Trail Blazers on October 18, adopted by their home-opener in opposition to the Houston Rockets on the 20th.
